Education

For Schools

We are pleased to offer weekday matiness, artist-led workshops, and community programming to educators and students.

School workshops

Led by theatre artists who are experienced youth facilitators, these workshops provide opportunities for you and your students to enhance your in-class, workshop learning.

East of Tarragon Theatre

The East of Tarragon program is designed to help young people and community members connect with theatre, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others through storytelling.

Weekday Matinees

Weekday Matinees offer students a chance to see professional plays during class time. Bookings are available through our education department.

Education and Resources

Check out our Audience Resource Guides and Venue/Show Guides to delve deep into the themes and content of each play and prepare for your visit to the theatre.

Training and Professional Development

Tarragon provides support for creative growth and opportunities for practical professional development with some of the best practitioners in the field.

Young Playwrights Unit

The Young Playwrights Unit (YPU) is a paid training experience for young artists (aged 18-28) who are curious and passionate about playwriting. This program offers a group of dedicated young creators a rigorous and supportive context in which to develop some of their first works.
