No Strings Theatre presents:
The ‘All Canadian’, Tony Award Winning, The Drowsy Chaperone, a musical with book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar and music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison
For this, the sesquicentennial celebration, No Strings Theatre presents a season comprised entirely of Canadian music theatre. Oh?, Canada…! Our signature 4-week Summer Youth Music Theatre Intensive has been attracting young artists from the GTA and beyond for the past 12 seasons. We are beyond buzzed to be bringing back a Canadian musical gem to Toronto where the magic all began when Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison created a fabulously outrageous musical for a friend’s wedding gift!
No Strings Theatre is very proud to present the musical within a comedy: “The Drowsy Chaperone” right here in our very own back yard in the fabulous Tarragon Theatre. Winner of 5 Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards including Best New Musical, this Fabulous Canadian gem musical has been dubbed by Music Theatre International as “The Funniest Musical of all Time” It has played on all but 1 continent (Antarctica…oh please) and this summer we are thrilled to be bringing the show back HOME to Toronto.
