Ticket Policies
ORDER FEES
All tickets purchased online or by phone are subject to an order fee of $3.25/ticket, including HST. Subscribers are exempt.
TICKET EXCHANGES
All sales are final, however ticket exchanges are possible if you contact patron services at least 24 hours in advance of your performance date; subject to availability on the new date. There is a $5 exchange fee. Ticket exchanges are free for subscribers.
SUBSCRIBER UPGRADE FEE
Preview Subscribers who wish to attend a performance outside of the previews may do so by paying an upgrade fee of $25/ticket.
TICKET DISTRIBUTION AND ARRIVAL
Tickets are emailed at the time of booking and again on the day of the performance. Tickets can be scanned on your mobile device when you enter the theatre. You can print your ticket at home, this can also be scanned when you enter the theatre. Upon request in advance, tickets can be printed at the box office for pick up when you arrive for the performance. Tickets can also be added to your Digital Wallet.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your performance to give you ample time to find parking, enjoy our Lobby Gallery, find your seat, and enjoy a beverage or snack from our Lobby Bar.
SOLD OUT SHOWS
Although a show’s status may show online as sold out, it is possible that tickets could be released for sale again as we do allow exchanges. Please check our website regularly as availability is subject to change.
WAITLIST
If the date you want is sold out, we can add your name to a waitlist to be contacted if tickets become available.
CANCELLED PERFORMANCES
In the event that Tarragon must cancel a performance, every effort will be made to reschedule patrons to another performance. If this is not possible, patrons may choose:
- To donate the value of the ticket and receive a charitable tax receipt
- An account credit towards a future show (credits are valid for 24 months)
- A refund (refunds exclude order fees)

SCENT FREE
For the comfort and health of our patrons, artists, and staff, Tarragon kindly requests that all patrons refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes. Exemptions may apply for culturally specific ceremonies.
LATECOMERS & RE-ENTRY
In the interest of all patrons, latecomers and those who leave the theatre during a performance will only be admitted if there is a suitable break in the performance, as identified by the creative team. Latecomer seating location will be at the discretion of the Patron Services staff.

MASK REQUIRED PERFORMANCES
Tarragon offers one mask required performance for each play in the 2025/26. All audience members in attendance are required to wear a medical mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
CHILDREN / BABES IN ARMS
Due to the nature of our productions and performance spaces, ‘Babes in Arms’ are not permitted in our theatres. Additionally, it is strongly recommended that children under the age of 12 are not brought to the theatre except for advertised family and community shows. Children under this age must be supervised for the duration of the performance by a parent/caregiver. Children unable to sit quietly may, along with their accompanying adult, be asked to leave the theatre.

RECORDING AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
As a courtesy to the performers and other patrons, please set all electronic devices to silent. The use of cameras, video cameras or sound-recording devices of any kind is prohibited during the performance. Any person using an unauthorized recording device will be required to surrender or erase any recordings, photographic or digital images, and may be asked to leave. No refunds will be issued. We do encourage you, though, to take out your camera during the curtain call and share your experience at the theatre.
Terms & Conditions
- All sales are final; there are no refunds. Please see the Tickets Exchange policy above.
- All programming and artists are subject to change without notice.
- All ticket pricing is subject to change without notice.
- Subscriptions are only valid for productions for the season purchased. Remaining balances cannot be carried over to another season. Tax receipts cannot be issued for unused tickets. (exceptions apply for cancelled performances)
- Tarragon Theatre reserves the right to provide alternative seats to those specified on the ticket.
- Tarragon reserves the right to refuse admission or expel from the premises any person whose presence or conduct it deems objectionable.
- Ticket holders assume all responsibility for any risk or bodily harm or loss of property sustained while attending any event at Tarragon, and waive all rights to claim for damages resulting from any cause whatsoever either before, during, or after the event.
- By ordering a ticket to an event you also agree that we may send promotional emails to you unless you specify otherwise in your account or by contacting Patron Services.
- Tickets purchased from unauthorized third parties may not be valid and may be unusable for admittance. We cannot replace lost or stolen third-party tickets.
